Album Notes
This release represents several years of angsty, but hopeful internal wrestling with God. The music is diverse as I explored different musical modes and styles, seeking to find a style that best represented my creative inspiration. Not unlike my faith at the time, the music rocks back and forth from hopeful to strained. Some tracks are melancholy, others are poppy and light-hearted. My voice was just beginning to come around, so the vocals on these tracks are far more raw than perhaps I'm comfortable with. Nevertheless, the rawness of the vocals (I think) matches the tone of the overall album.

"Here" is a collection of 'snapshots' of young faith. Each song represents a kind of prayer in a particular moment as I wrestled with God. Wrestle with God enough and he may touch your side and knock your hip out of socket. But he will surely bless you as well. This music follows my faith as I find God patient and faithful in the midst of interpersonal trial.
