Album Notes
The Timucua Brass Band is composed of 9 musicians from Orlando, all brass and a drummer.

All the music is composed and arranged by Benoit Glazer for the band, which was formed three years ago. The music was performed three years running at the Timucua Concert Series with enormous success. A tour is in the works.

Very fine writing and musicianship!
As a professional brass player, I am always interested in different musical styles and the compositions on this CD really held my interest. The cat on the Sousaphone is amazing, as he has the formidable challenge of keeping the time alive while laying down some very hip rhythmic lines. The solos are excellent and remain true to the style of each composition. I was particularly impressed by the range, flexibility, and sound of the two trumpets. This is no-nonsense playing and well worth checking out.
