ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Powerful melodies, memorable lyrics and a dynamic sound will pull you into Tina Pumfrey’s first full-length album, “Where God Is”. Classically trained on the piano, her style on the keys has been informed by the many talented musicians she has worked with, in settings as diverse as church choir to orchestra. As keyboardist for a popular local band, she discovered and nurtured her rich, distinctive voice, a voice that makes her music stay with her fans. As a songwriter, she confidently lets the songs be what they are, blending influences from country to blues, pop to gospel. Drawing on her own experiences, and reflecting on what she sees around her, she crafts memorable songs that listeners readily identify with. In the manner of Matt Maher and Francesca Battistelli, her songs connect the ups and downs of everyday life with the spiritual, while conveying a persistent message of hope. Backed by the energy of her band (Del Metcalfe on guitar, Jim Brown on bass, and Eugene Metcalfe on drums), Tina’s soulful vocals combine with her expressive range at the keyboard to make “Where God Is” an uplifting and inspiring album.
