I am blessed to do music for a living. I coach voice in NYC and write music and work with the songwriting community. I raise to teenage boys...
It has been six years since my last album release and in the course of that time, there has been great transition in my life and some experiences that I feel a lot of people can connect with...we are all works in progress and my stories and lessons come in the form of my songs. I hope that you will find solace, strength and hope from them.. this record is called "The Good Ones" and is dedicated to my Mother and Father, two Good, kind and amazing people who left this earth a better place for having been here. This record is also dedicated to you, the listener... Enjoy the music and words and continue to be uplifted by the power of music. Thank you for taking the time to read this and listen.... Tina

Couldn't find a favorite song ~ ALL are INCREDIBLE!
This CD is an absolute inspiration! As each song played I thought "this is my favorite" until the next one played and I realized finding a favorite track was impossible because each and every one of her songs are filled with hope, inspiration and honesty. The passion in her voice lores you in and you get lost within the music. I had a true connection with each lyric and song and it felt as though it was my life being shared. I am happy I purchased 3 of these CD's to share with friends who instatnly feel in love with Tina's music , as I know you will too!!

Absolutely beautiful!
Tina Shafer knows how to put together a remarkable album! From the songwriting, to the vocals, to the production, this album is breathtakingly beautiful. I highly recommend it!

Worth theWait
Years ago, I recognized that Tina Shafer's artistry was void of ego and market trends. Her poetry, melody, instrumental technique, voice, and perfect collaboration with other unique musicians has produced a work that is beautiful, soulful, and honest.

I was enthralled from the very first note! Such emotion behind each and every song and such a beautiful and soulful voice. Tina packs a punch in her songs throughout and hits the listener in totally unexpected ways. This album is spectacular and highly recommended!

Great music
I've listened to The Good Ones a couple of times now - very nice. I especially enjoy Serenity Prayer; the flow, percussion and melody on this are quite wonderful. Love that slightly tensioned note in the post chorus, very cool.

Also "Get it Right" has a gorgeous earthy feel, with some great sonorous vocals in the climax. The words throughout the album are very poetic, heartfelt; in the Good Ones they are especially poignant. It also seems like all the arrangements were masterfully thought out and performed; I'm very impressed by all of it!

This One is a Keeper
I was so moved by the opener, "Crack the Sky." She sings, "It's not too late to live life the way you want to." Shafer sets such powerful lyrics to her melodies, then transforms message into motion. This album is golden. She's a songbird who has her own call. You may find yourself dreaming, hoping, reflecting and feeling the magic of music as you listen, and long after. I did.

I knew I would love this album as I have loved the last two. My expectations were exceeded. Tina's voice gets better with the years and the feelings that are put into each of these songs brought tears to my eyes as I listened. The great part for me is that I knew "The Good Ones" all my life. Keep the music coming!!!
