ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Tirade. Who are they? What do they want from us? What is their problem? Imagine a sickening tangle of the DNA of Led Zeppelin, Frank Zappa, Deep Purple, Ronnie James Dio, Pantera, and worse. Deafening fractured guitar butchery, demented vocals, unimaginable lyrics-when I got this CD, I thought, "Yawn, another crappy metal waste of life." Full of ennui, I put on "Meatcicle" and continued my morning routine, however, from the first psychotic shrieks of "monkeywrench" normal activity was forever impossible. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This was no ordinary band. I sat down and strapped on the headphones and proceeded to listen to the most riveting, ground-breaking album of the new millennium. Darkside wizard, Tray Bettenoir, the groovemaster and lyricist, laid prehistoric guitar riffs and cast a mood at once hilarious and disturbing. I wondered whether he was a genius or a stone cold idiot and I'm still wondering. However the show was stolen by G.L. Duende, the lead guitarist and vocalist. His vocals are pre-primal scream, his guitar playing makes Dimebag sound like Martha Stewart. Experience his work before he will inevitably be committed to a maximum security facility for the rest of his "life." Tez Firestone, the third member of this band, is a figure shrouded in mystery and myth. A friend who saw them on a bill with icons Squeal in Belgium, said Tez Firestone never even came on stage. He played offstage, way offstage. All-in-all, this CD will challenge your current perception of reality. After it ends, see if you can continue like it never happened. You can't; you won't. Don't listen to "Meatcicle". That's my best advice.
