What Is Love

by Tita Luisa

Think Shawn Colvin with a dash of Gloria Estefan. A “balance of fun musical flavors” rooted in the Pop/Folk genre, with added elements of Jazz, Latin and Rock that make the mix tastier.

Album Notes
From the pop influences of the first track "Do You Like Me That Way" to the fun jazzy tune of the last track "Alleyways”, this CD is full of pleasant sonic surprises. Offering diversity by borrowing from multiple genres, it’s a smooth journey through songs that are sure to please.

Tita Luisa’s debut CD “What Is Love” showcases captivating vocals and harmonies as well as sincere and thought-provoking lyrics. With songs about the search for love, love found, love lost, and love gone wrong, to social issues and love for humankind, it’s the full spectrum of the colors of love that the brush of Tita Luisa’s songwriting ability skillfully paints on the musical canvas.

The CD is loaded with COSA (Central Oregon Songwriter’s Association) Award-winning songs, including the title track featuring an exquisite duet. There are no “fillers” in the line-up of songs on this CD.

Also noteworthy on this CD are the impressive sounds of world-class percussionist Chalo Eduardo and special guest Grammy Award winner Andy Armer on the tune “Slave To Love”.

"Tita Luisa's debut album, aptly titled "What Is Love", contains 11 tracks of essential songs for anyone who has ever asked that question. Tita's unique musical style flows gently through a mix of pop, rock, jazz and folk tunes creating a smooth balance of fun musical flavors..." "The debut release from Tita Luisa, “What is Love” jumps with excitement from the Latin rhythms of “Slave To Love”, and seamlessly carries through to a duet on the title track that made me want to bring flowers to my sweetie on the way home. It’s the type of music you want to hear while having a margarita or dinner on the patio. With jazz and folk influences, Tita Luisa calls out to dreams, places and times where she has asked the questions and found her answers. I think it’s very cool that part of the CD sales goes towards helping children in need around the world."

"What Is Love" extraordinary!
Love this album of Tita's. My favorite song on it is "What Is Love" and she knows it. I cried the first time I heard it and then I listened to it over and over and over again. She has such an angelic voice and I appreciate that her many of her songs are about love. Every song on this album is excellent!
