ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Alternative Pop Artists The Riverdale Kid, is on RDK Records and hails from the Riverdale area in Toronto, Canada. They are fronted by singer songwriter Fernando Curcione aka The Riverdale Kid.

Fernando hooked up with Juno nominated and Gemini winning producer Jono Grant. The result was the debut release of Toasted Western / Adventures of the Riverdale Kid.

This record takes you from the satirical edginess of Don’t You Wanna Be There and I Should Have Known to the loving sentimentality of The Start and Mama Dear and the
novelty of Elvis Is Still Here, and Let’s Go Dancin’.

The tunes are fun and sentimental and sometimes a bit outside the box truly reflecting the character of the artist.

Adventures of the Riverdale kid
The problem with great albums like these is that kids don't listen to them until they have grown a few lines on their faces. It took me me back a few years...Funny because they're all new songs. "Elvis is still here" should be released as a single in Nasville. If it doesn't debut at number one I will eat someones hat.
