Album Notes
"I Want to Know" is a 75-minute musical about the history of science and invention. This recording includes all of the songs and most of the accompanying narration. Some spoken/acted scenes are not included.

Using comic book style speed and wit, the players chart the history of science, transportation, medicine and industry. Histories greatest tinkerers and thinkers are brought to life, underscored by upbeat and inspired music. Starting in pre-history, when a shaman’s magic and herbal remedies formed the core of scientific study, "I Want to Know" moves through the ages, from Archimedes to Newton to Einstein and beyond, with humor and insight. Fast-paced and full of variety, the music carries the flavor of each scientific age and originating country that the clever lyrics discuss.

Originally developed in conjunction with the Wisconsin Arts Board Artist in Resident program at Pulaski High School. The recording was originally produced in 1991 by CenterStage Productions, Kim Vanderhyden and Tobin Mueller, recorded at Bonzai Studios (Jeff Maroszek engineer). It has been remastered for this release by Factory Underground Studios, Tom Stewart engineer. Appropriate for grades 1-12; target grades for stage performance: 6-12.
