Album Notes
These seven jazz piano compositions showcase Tobin Mueller's wide range as both a musician and a composer. The bonus track outtakes are from his 17-track double album "Afterwords" (a spoken word / solo piano) and are completely remixed. The original project has been called "an astonish work of art" (Kathy Parsons, MainlyPiano).

The compilation enables you to listen to Mueller's piano without any spoken "distractions." To hear the original versions with Mueller's spoken additions, please see "Afterwords" unedited:

What reviewers are saying about "Afterwords":

"Mueller’s compositional vocabulary and his prowess as a pianist are eloquent and elegant, lively and whimsical, provocative and inspirational by turns. 'Afterwords' is highly original recording that will uplift the listener, challenge his philosophical perspectives and stimulate his aural sensibility." - Carla Maria Verdino-Süllwold, Fanfare Magazine music critic

"Impressive impressions: Vocal and string vibrations of a man in and out of time. Tobin finds supernal expression in his piano. Bravo!" - Richard Schletty, Schletty Sound & Design

"I am in awe of Tobin’s fearless pursuit of honesty and originality in his work. 'Afterwords' is an astonishing work of art." - Kathy Parsons, Mainly Piano

From MainlyPiano
"Afterwords: Solo Piano Bonus Tracks" is a selection of seven solo piano tracks from Tobin Mueller’s two-disc spoken-word album, "Afterwords," with his voice edited out. This is only a portion of the music from the original album, and although it will probably be categorized as jazz, it is beyond a single classification or genre. Sometimes very smooth and meditative, it also has “big” and edgy passages. Always original and one-of-a-kind, Tobin Mueller is an artist through and through, and this short album is a great introduction to his music if you are not familiar with it or an alternative if you don’t appreciate spoken-word combined with piano. Or you can combine the three discs for a truly outstanding listening experience!

"Afterwords: Solo Piano Bonus Tracks" is highly recommended!

Bonus Tracks-Afterwords
For those who want only to listen to Tobin Mueller's liquid piano playing and beautiful melodies, this bonus CD contains seven instrumental only tracks. It complements nicely the complex, thought-provoking double CD which features the spoken texts and the music they inspired.
