Richard Fuller

Dreamscapes is a wonderful means to relax and find oneness with Spirit
From the artist and composer that gave us Landscapes (see my review), we now have his latest and greatest, Dreamscapes. Todd Banks has combined his superlative talent at the piano, with creativity that can only come from God, to offer a tribute to humankind.

Dreamscapes brings the listener the means to visualize and visit places of love, hope, and serenity---all to be found in our hearts. Todd's compositions lead us to find a total release from the stress and tesion of the day, and substitute passion and prayer.

From the opening song, Balloons to number 16, Daydreaming 56 minutes later, this reviewer was calmed, entranced and transported to better, sweeter places. Todd Banks and his piano share a presence and an inspiration that touches, moves and soothes. Dreamscapes represents Todd's growth and transition from first studying and playing classical piano at age 8---to learning bass guitar and forming several rock bands, to his roots---music of imagery.

Here is music that is ambient, yet at the same time, involving---like a healing quality impossible to quantify, just there. The same is true of Landscapes and undoubtedly will be true of Spirit Walk, due for release this fall. Indeed, this reviewer can see a time coming, sooner rather than later, when the name Todd Banks will be synonymous with harmony.

Dreamscapes is a wonderful means to relax and find oneness with Spirit!

Moving, filled with lots of subtle shifts and tempos. A must have.
Dreamscapes is moving and filled with multiple, subtle swings in moods and tempos. The artist does a fine job capturing his expressions throughout the album. This album should be included in anyone's collection of "sit and think" or "dream" collection. Looking forward to Mr. Banks' next solo release.
