ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Todd Hobin Band celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2014. The original members continue to play to a dedicated and growing fan base, delivering the legendary performances that made them one of rock’s hardest working, well-traveled bands. The music is distinctly American, melodic, driving, and powerful. They’ve played thousands of shows and have shared the stage with the greatest bands of their time from The Beach Boys and Kinks, to the Allman Brothers and Hall & Oates.

Their recently released double CD set, The Early Years is filled with Hobin classics: I Hate You, Keepin’ the Dream Alive, New York Country Song, and many more. Their latest album, It’s Not Over continues in the same tradition; critically acclaimed, rocking, thoughtful and uncompromising. They remain a closely held treasure to those who know their music.

THE DREAM Live 1974-1991 captures the excitement and passion of some of their memorable live performances around America during the 70s, 80s, and into the 90s.

KEEPIN' THE DREAM ALIVE is a mystery. Produced by Mark Doyle, the album is a masterpiece of mixed artistic joy and sorrow. Todd “died” during its recording. A miraculous recovery kept him and the “Dream” alive, but also kept him off the road and out of the studio during the completion of the album. The band soldiered on under the guidance of Doug Moncrief. The album remains a favorite among fans and a complete unknown to most of the world. Delve in and listen cover to cover to catch the vibe as the rollicking 70s crashed into the 80s.
