Lift Up Your Heads is a live performance of Todd Williams in rare saxophone form with one of the best bands worldwide. Backing Him are Marcus Roberts, piano, Reginald Veal, bass, and Herlin Riley, drums. The performance explores seven lyrical tracks which will absolutely engage you to clap and snap along with the live audience! Todd performs on both tenor and soprano saxophones, wailin' singin' and shoutin'!

About the author:

Todd Williams is among the finest and most sought after reed players on today’s music scene. He has shared the stage Grammy Award winning groups, namely Christian McBride. And originally known for his saxophone and clarinet work with the Wynton Marsalis Quintet, Septet and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Williams has also been honored with such positions as Assistant Professor at Queens College and Music Director of Times Square Church. He has performed saxophone at most every prestigious worldwide venue from multiple performances at the White House, to a State Department Tour of India, The Marciac France Jazz Festival, The Montreux Switzerland Jazz Festival, The Mt. Fuji Japan Jazz Festival, The Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall and countless others in the U.S. and abroad. Todd is a faculty member as Assistant Professor of Music Education at Indiana Wesleyan University. Extensive recording with Marsalis and guest appearances with such artists as Sir Roland Hanna, the Newburgh Symphony Orchestra, and various appearances with his own quartet, decorate his list of accomplishments. Additionally, Williams has been known for his composition expertise in both instrumental and vocal music. He is a four-time recipient of ASCAP’s Plus Award for Composers.
