Album Notes
Tom Agostino is part of a long lineage of musical storytellers that include Van Morrison, Elvis Costello, Don Henley and Neil Young, writing and singing personal songs that touch on a universal truth in the storytelling.

His new recording (on Griffen Music), "State of Grace" an 11 song collection, weaves his soulful music through popular musical stylings (folk/roots/rock) to speak of Love, both spiritual and physical, and the awakening of the soul in modern America. An innovative guitarist as well as singer, Tom is backed on the CD by the Canadian steel guitar wizard, KC Kelly, as well as stellar musicians, including Richard Hardy, sax, Tim Timmerman, percussion, Richie Onori, drums, and co-producer Mark Josephson on violin and keyboards.

Brooklyn-born, Tom Agostino grew up a student of the great songwriters, from Broadway to Tin Pan Alley to the Beatles and as an early performer was influenced by the singer-songwriter/minstrels like Jackson Browne, Neil Young and James Taylor. Living in Exile in Canada, Tom was part of the seminal Vancouver Island bands "Medicine Wheel" and "Wild Blue Yonder". He headed the 80's Santa Cruz based pop group "The HeartBeats" and founded "Streetlight" which played throughout LA in the early 90's. His other recordings include "Wild Blue Yonder" (Homespun Music), "Swords into Ploughshares" (the Peace Project) and "Gabriola Days/Santa Cruz Nights" (Griffen Music). By day Tom runs a graphic design studio, creating CD packages for other artists as well as websites.
