ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Tom De Rosa is no stranger to the music scene in New York where he has established a name for himself and a following for his unique brand of Americana. His songs are expressive and dynamic, witty and inspiring often painting a picture deep into the soul.

The title track to this album, "Dreamin' about You”, tells an out of this world story about a man who lost his girlfriend to a visitor from another planet. “He looks up into the nighttime sky, I see your face and...”. It is a love song with a sense of humor!

In "Vampire Cool", De Rosa's clever use of lyrics reappears as he tells a dreamy story of a guy and a vampiress.

“Stealing the Thunder” originated from a concept that came to Tom one night while he was working on some new song ideas. He tuned into the news and heard someone talking about stealing the President’s thunder and those words became the inspiration for the chorus of this very powerful love cry.

In his song "Tennessee”, Tom celebrates the inner strength of a most special lady in his life who left home in TN in order to follow her soul to NYC. He sings, “…and your heart will shine like gold”.
