All the Mercies

by Tom Dews

It's a stripped-down, sparse sound with all harmonica and guitar done simultaneously. It's the blues of the human predicament, and the prayer of the striving, where the slide guitar says as much as the lyrics.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes

It's mostly a blues-influenced recording, but there are some moments of joy. One of my favorite DJs says I have "a lived in voice", and I take this as a compliment. It's a voice that may seem a little karma-weary, but it has served me long enough to finish my fourth collection of songs.
