ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
1 Corinthians 12 says “Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity.” My passion as a singer / songwriter / producer is to discover and share new and more poignant ways to express the passionate, deep, even hidden longings of our hearts -- to God and each other -- in both the language of the mind (lyrics) and the language of the heart (music). Like a good movie soundtrack brings to light much greater depths than simply a picture and spoken lines alone, my passion is to share with you music and lyrics that engage our hearts deeper in the epic saga of getting seriously real with God and each other.

Exactly how does each of the songs on this album go there?

[1] Something - about addiction, and handing the thing over to the one who’s so much better than what we’re addicted to.

[2] Yours - a song from that moment where we give ourselves over to Him with complete abandon and experience joy and freedom beyond what we've ever known.

[3] Just - realizing that God doesn’t make us love Him – He waits patiently until we get to know him and can’t help but fall in love, and then realizing He’s actually the soulmate we’ve been looking for in all the wrong places.

[4] Place - wanting to go deeper and farther with God than we ever have.

[5] Known - Something amazing happens when we encounter Him in worship. Beautiful Spanish translation (2nd verse) by Cristian Berguno.

[6] Things - about the frustration of loving God and wanting to live life his way so much …. and still doing things we know are wrong, and not doing the things we know are right, and then realizing that transformation and purification is a life long process … a work He does in our heart, because we just can’t do it on our own.

[7] Today - is there enough grace, forgiveness, love in each of us to truly know each other today?

[8] Timothy - the anguishing regret felt by a man who paid for his girlfriend to have an abortion a decade before … and a decade later, still wishes he could hold his child in his arms. It is written to the child he paid to have aborted.

[9] Empty - the shock of realizing how real God’s forgiveness is!

[10] Jesus - Let there be forgiveness, let there be healing, let there be victory !
