Album Notes
** A Road Worth Driving Down is Tom May's 14th album, an ode of gratitude for the joyful, free life he has experienced as a traveling folksinger for over 45 years- but also leavened with some topical pieces about the historical context we find ourselves part of today, and the environmental collapse going on around us.
Assisted by Grammy award winning guitarist Doug Smith, bassist Donny Wright, (who worked on a number of Dave Carter/Tracy Grammer albums) Billy Oskay, (co-founder of the world music pioneers "Nightnoise") and other fine musicians, "A Road Worth Driving Down" is an eloquent tapestry of all new original songs by Tom May, from a life spent performing, producing the nationally syndicated "River City Folk", and writing both songs and books.

Romance, history, geography, wine, and fine storytelling are a part of each Tom May album- "A Road Worth Driving Down" is an
loving portrait containing all of those elements, with Tom in fine voice accompanied by gifted musicians.
