ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Tommy Dahill never colored within the lines as a kid, and this is reflected in his music. Based on a lifelong love of Mississippi Delta Blues, this is a lucky set of 13 dirges about death and the spirits of the dead. There is a tribute sung in Irish to his grandfather's great grandfather's execution during the 1798 United Irishmen Uprising (the front and back covers were photographed in the cemetery where he's buried in Rathcormac), a couple of songs about floods and wolves of Alaska sung in French (because, well, pourquoi pas?) an anti-love song in Flemish, a couple of instrumentals and some Baglama Saz playing. The remaining ghost songs are in English.
If you can imagine Bukka White playing a Minutemen song, you're on the right track.
