"A Must Own...."
Tommy has done it again! This recording is a "Must Own" for any serious music collector - drummer or otherwise. I am a music teacher with close to 30 years of teaching experience. When I wanted my students to listen to great Big Band Jazz with a GREAT drummer - I USED to play Buddy Rich's "Live in London" or perhaps some of the Stan Kenton Collection. But now? This is the NEW state of the ART for Big Band and Top Shelf Drumming. I want all of my students to listen to and own this music. Tommy has proven once again how many dimensions he has - he can groove and solo in any style and any feel. I'm hard pressed to think of another contemporary that has the versatility that Tommy displays on every track. This is an amazing collection of Big Band recordings that every musician should own. Bravo Tommy!
