ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Wayne Moss, who is the lead guitarist and founder of Barefoot Jerry, was the original guitarist on my first hit, and million seller from 1962, Sheila. In 2019 I decided to do a revisited series of my hits from the 60's and I asked Wayne if he would help me put the session together at his Cinderella Studio in Nashville, and he agreed. I was very excited to get back into the studio with Wayne after so many years and we re-recorded Sheila (Revisited), and Everybody (Revisited). The session went so well, Wayne suggested that I should record some new songs. I said, "You mean like Tommy Roe meets Barefoot Jerry." Wayne said, "Great idea, let's do it." So as spontaneous as the decision was for the two of us to come together and make some new music, it seems the EP, Tommy Roe meets Barefoot Jerry was just destined to be. Music brings people together for reasons we can never fully understand, and my session with Wayne and his engineer, Robert Lucas, along with all the talented musicians he pulled together was just awesome. Thanks to all, and I hope you enjoy..
