ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The 60s. We were cool. Well, that’s what we always said. Truth is, some of us were pretty way-out there (man), and some were “square” as a box. But the music...well, that was a different story.

There were The Beatles, the Stones, Dave Clark Five, Beach Boys, The Who, Cream, Jimi, etc., etc. There was the British Invasion, there was the Folk Revival, there was Haight-Ashbury and, of course, there was Motown! It was a magical time, and kids today are still interested in listening to, and playing the music of that Groovy era.

The songs on this collection are all brand new and original; they are not the hits of the 60s. However, every song owes something to those artists, to those songs. Sometimes it’s very obvious, and sometimes it’s just an impression of my own.

Whether you experienced the music of the 60s when it was new, or if you latched onto it because its all that your parents ever listened to, I invite you to sit back and let the music take you back to a time when the music was more than angst, more than just background; it was truly the soundtrack of our lives
