ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In the sci-fi space film “Flight to Mars” (Monogram Pictures, 1951), one of the members of the scientific expedition posits that we are all part of the universe, and we are each of us a miniature universe in ourselves.

As reality, this borders on silliness; as a metaphor, it works perfectly. We ARE the center of our own little universes. The things we see, the things we do, the things we experience are all, only and ever, viewed from our own personal perspectives. It is all very subjective and very first-person singular.

Listening to music is also a subjective thing. When we hear music, we react according to our own lights, not with the viewpoint or perception of anyone else.

So, as you listen to these 20 instrumental songs, keep in mind that you are having a totally unique experience that no one else has ever had, and no one else will ever have.

Enjoy the music
Tom Rasely, 2019
