Worm

by Tom Teeley

Tom Teeley's aggressive take on old school jazz-fusion combined with modern indie rock sensibilities, while still maintaining great song writing craftiness . Although many years in creation, this disc is very much an album of the moment.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
WORM is an eclectic mix of musical styles by singer-songwriter-producer Tom Teeley. The core sound of this collection is a unique blend of retro 70s fusion combined with a grungy contemporary alternative rock feel. The record also touches upon the etherial with the beautiful 'Amethyst' and Teeley also throws in some Gershwinesque piano jazz in 'Way Downtown' But the album's centerpiece would undoubtedly be the ferocious 'Animals' which features swirling Mahavishnu Orchestra- like keyboard lines pitted against melodically dissonant guitar/violin leads. This creates an appropriate backdrop for Teeley's aggressive vocal delivery and dark lyrics.
For a unique adventure down some powerful uncharted musical territory, Tom Teeley's WORM is a must-hear.
—Dack Fontaine 2010
