ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Tom Tiratto has enjoyed international success with his tribute to the legendary ‘Frank Sinatra’ and is well known for his resemblance to the smooth vocals of ‘Old Blue Eyes’. Piqued by an appreciation for Sinatra’s big band style and smooth vocal prowess, and with more than twenty years of perseverance and hard work, Tom is established as a premier performer, actor, recording artist and producer in the unique style of Francis Albert Sinatra. Tom Tiratto performs, in this marvelous collection of twelve great songs, a style very reminiscent of this legendary entertainer.
As with most professional musical performers, self-discovery came early. A native of Cleveland Ohio, Tom as a young teen, began a musical career by participating in any and all high school drama productions, community theatre, musicals, and also studied percussion. With his natural sense of timing, and rhythm, Tom was able to achieve a proficiency in percussion and later the guitar. Tiratto enlisted his expertise in several local bands in the Cleveland area performing various types of music which included light rock, polkas, and jazz. But it was the music of the Big Band era and a contract with ‘Busch Gardens Entertainment’ in Tampa Florida which launched his career.
As an artist, and performer, I’ve always understood that it is a performance. Whether it’s a live performance on stage, or in a recording studio, it’s transcending an expression, of what the writer intended or how a particular lyric relates to the listener. It must be believable. No one phrased or conveyed a lyric more eloquently than Frank Sinatra. I loved his phrasing. For example, in Cole Porter’s “I’ve Got You Under My Skin”, “Don’t you know you fool… there ain’t no chance to win”. LOL I am greatly inspired by his music and feel that to some extend that we shared some similarities going through life. I’ll bet many of us have. That’s what Frank Sinatra was able to do through his music, remind us of those poignant moments in our own lives, whether it be love lost or love won, that have may have otherwise been forgotten. He did it by that sometimes lonely timber in his voice and through some of the most beautiful lyrics ever written.
As we approach what would be Frank Sinatra’s 100th birthday in 2015. Tom dedicates this album to all of you who loved the music of this legendary entertainer.
