Tom Turner & Slow Burn

by Tom Turner & Slow Burn

Our sound is a great mix of soul, funk, blues, pop, with a twist of jazz! Kind of a groove band combining intricate musical passages with elements of complete improvisation. It leaves the listener with a colorful array of melodies and relentless grooves!

Album Notes
What a long journey, the longest journey! Had I known the hardships of seeing this project through, well, I would have finished it anyway. So many great ears have given my songs the ultimate seal of approval. I, as an artist, find that we all seem to experience similar difficulties in life. It's how we react to them that makes the difference. I chose to soften the day to day obstacles by writing these songs. The hope is that you will find some warmth and comfort in how this music and lyrical content plays out. Some songs may be lamenting but many are up and jumpin'!!! What "Tom Turner and Slow Burn" is about would be best described as a great mix of Soul, Blues, Funk, Jazz, and Pop all rolled into one. Lyrically, much is discussed about hope and living forward! .....T. Turner
