ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jazz is alive and well in Central Texas. Tony Bray and Toro Flores bring you an original sound with influences that come from jazz, classical and latin traditions. Tony's compositions center around the strengths of the individual musicians in the ensemble as well as featuring the ensemble itself. The extended forms of many of the tunes allow each member the chance to fully express each of their own musical virtuosic journeys. Tony Bray plays tenor and soprano saxophone. Toro Flores is on the Mallet Kat (vibes, marimba and steel drum) which enables a cool blend with the saxophone. Chris Villanueva is one of Austin and San Antonio's most sought after piano and keyboard players. Bass player Nick Lewis not only lays down a solid groove but also handles many of the melodies and intricate ensemble lines. Aaron Easley is the glue for this quintet and is featured on several intense drum solos.
