ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Lower Acre Wolf is a unique recording of instrumental music. It tells the story of a place with unimaginable frontiers and a time of restless dreams the size of continents. The music conjures up a landscape of memory; what it means to come of age as a stranger in a strange land, or to witness the end of all you know. It is about people haunted by the vastness of hope, filled with indescribable longing, discovering America.

This recording is a collection of original songs which explores the musical traditions of North America. Like Native American music, these songs are inspired by the rituals of life, of passages marked by ceremony; songs found in dreams. The styles of music here are eclectic, reflecting the influences of jazz, country, folk, rock and Native American music. They feature Native American instruments, an array of guitars, and orchestrated symphonic instruments.
