Album Notes
LEONARD MALTIN (Film critic) says: "Forget about Sinatra wannabes and savor the warm, expressive vocals of this wonderful singer, who brings his own approach to great standards. Tony London is the real thing"

PAT BOONE (Actor, Singer) says: "To my ear, Tony London could have walked off with the American Idol prize himself. Here's a fine, accomplished and mature -- but still young -- singer who appreciates the Great American Songbook and treats it with skill and care. I predict big things for him!"

HUGH MARTIN (songwriter, "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas") says: Tony London has an exceptionally beautiful voice, but what makes him a great singer is his gift of singing every song straight from his heart".

RAY EVANS (songwriter, "Mona Lisa") says: "I am most impressed with your talent, vocal range and sensitivity".

SONGS FROM THE HEART brings you a new voice you’ll want to keep hearing. Tony London sings songs twice his own age, as if they had just been written, and written just for him.

Half a century of revved-up, hard-driving rock etc. has left us all shook-up. We need a balance of relaxing beautiful melodies with lovely lyrics that touch us.

So dim the lights, get comfy and surrender yourself to the leisurely, gentle mood of these haunting melodies and words from Tony’s heart to yours.

Who is this Tony London? Where has he been ‘til now? Everywhere and for years, touring up to Alaska and down to Florida, but doing the rough, loud, defiant material that has dominated the scene for decades, the only work a singer could find.

Then one day, he quit and determined to sing only the kind of songs he’s always loved: melodic ballads and meaningful lyrics. The change-over took time, sacrifice and work re-training his natural voice, while developing his own true style. And now he’s ready: a gifted, seasoned, unknown with a beautiful, appealing voice, making his new start in a crowded field. Will you make him welcome?

You might remember Marsha Hunt from M.G.M.’s Golden Age movies, or more recently as author of the fashion picture book THE WAY WE WORE. But who knew, at 89, she’d turn into a record producer.?! How it happened is that when she heard some of her lifelong favorite songs sung by a voice that was beautiful, caring, appealing, … and unknown, - she determined to help make it known. She brought him together with the great Page Cavanaugh Trio and SONGS FROM THE HEART is the outcome. She believes that Tony London is an important new talent the whole world should hear. She hopes you’ll agree.

Two great songwriters represented in this album are old friends of its producer, actress Marsha Hunt. She asked them which of their numbers they’d like Tony to record. The result: LOVE CAN CHANGE THE STARS ( 9) and DIAMONDS IN THE STARLIGHT (12) by the matchless Hugh Martin (“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, “The Trolley Song”, etc.) and I’LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU (11) by the Oscar winner Ray Evans (“Mona Lisa”,” Que Sera Sera”, etc.). Once they had heard the CD both wrote to Tony as well as Marsha to express their delight with his renditions of their work.

Tony also picked two songs written by Marsha, (3 & 4) giving them their first public performance, (She didn’t argue.) See how you like them.

Page Cavanaugh
When Marsha Hunt informed me that Page Cavanaugh had passed on, I was stunned and saddened, but I realize that Page lives on in this beautiful CD produced by Marsha. It is a lasting tribute to this great pianist and composer, and Tony London compliments the great man's piano splendidly. Somewhere Page is smiling.

Tony London, Songs from the Heart
I couldn't be happier with this album; nor the manner in which it arrived. I can't say enough about this man's voice. I knew Page Cavanaugh, worked with Marsha Hunt; so I am delighted to have this CD in my collection. Thank you, CDbaby for making it possible.

... the best singer I've heard since young Frank Sinatra!
Tony London gives the listener something that has been lacking in this type music for decades... charisma, true feeling, and the kind of vocal that simply cannot be taught. The songs on this album are exceptionally romantic, and sung by the best singer I've heard since young Frank Sinatra! Page Cavanaugh's piano is as good as ever!

This is incredible! Where did this guy come from? Not only is he handsome, but he sings better than Michael Buble! Amazing!! Check out Where Or When on this album. I've never heard anyone sing huge notes like that in my life! This guy should be in a Broadway show! Great songs! Great singer!

Kathy E. - Moonlight Dance Club

"We've never had so many people ask us who this artist is."
We are a Dance Club & Studio geared toward the great music and crooners from the 40's to the present. One of the best comments someone made was; this Tony London seems to have the same effect on couples as the old Johnny Mathis tunes used to.

This is truly breathtaking!
I've been waiting for someone to finally get this music right! This singer and his band really have me swooning like the girls used to for singers like Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. What a remarkable voice for such truly beautiful songs! Breathtaking! Thanks from Holly.

When the very classy and lovely Marsha Hunt produces something, you know it's got to be superb! Page and his Trio are fantastic as always, and new vocalist Tony London not only compliments their seductive sounds, he also reminds me of the early golden voices of Sinatra and Torme'. Kudos to Marsha, Page and his lads, and, of course, to the very talented Tony London!

Pure Perfection!
I found this CD entirely enchanting, a refreshing departure from what's currently available in this genre. While there are definite Sinatra similarities, there is an amazing amount of depth and feeling in Tony London's music that left this listener wanting to hear more.
