Album Notes
"BLues Rocker" is accurate synthesis Rock and Blues - Listeneing to this CD you'll hear evolved blues licks throughout with Rock overtones. As a blues artist I stay dedicated to the blues format in reference to note choices and performance and this CD brings out the best of my blues with more of a Rock attitute than my previous CDs. My music is conbination of Blues, Rock, even Latin at times (I was born ande raised in Cuba) Like on Track # 9 "Cinco De Mayo" which I wrote May 5th of 2010 while playing at Gracie Raes in Panama City FL. Track # 10 "Mojo Matuba" brings out my New orleans influence from having played there a number of years with some great musicians like Monk Budreaux, Kirk Joseph, Anders Osborne, Johnny Vidacovich, Trombone Shorty, Zigaboo, Chris Mule' (Honey Island Swamp Band), and others.
"God loves the people of New Orleans and gave music to the chosen few, I play my guitar in New Orleans and I gon play my blues for you" - that's a line from my first CD Nawlins Renaissance.

TRK 1 The Business of the Blues
Charles "Payday" pagano on drums, BB (Beisbol) Villanueva on bass. See if you can figure out the stolen lick. This leading song captures some of cool vibes of performing in the Bluesw Bag.
TRK 2 Backdoor Boogaloo Man
Payday on Drums, Killer Kris Kelly on Bass (Guitar and Voc. recorded @ Word of Mouth in New Orleans) lots of wawa.
TRK 3 Python Lee Jackson
Payday on drums BB on bass - "The spirit of the blues" came to me one morning while retteling around by myself... Now, If I was to be a mythical blues man...who would I be. I'd be Pythin Lee - Best name I could think of for a "Blueman Extraordinaire"
TRK 4 Blues Rocker
"Dr. Bangwell" (Mike Hanson) on drums, Pierre Robison on bass. Title says it all. "it's like good BBQ, got to have it some time." (great pick up line) Pierre and I sat around and came up with this Q-Jones bass line for the 1-4 groove.
TRK 5 That's What they Call the Blues - previously released on the Nawlins Renaissance CD.
BB on bass, Pascualo Velucci on keys. A hearfelt slow blues with cool guitar and very sympathetic Piano and B-3 from Pascualo.
TRK 6 Terminal Eyes - I wrote this one back in the 80's Just got it recorded right - not too terribly angry, but angry enough - Lies and deception set the tone for ths one. good "WhoLike" power chords and heavy drums, good jam.
Payday on drums - Pierre Robinson on bass - one guitar trk, one bass trk, one drum trk. Killer on backing vocs.
TRK 7 Lonesome Sock Crusade -(Live) GREAT AUDIENCE on this one - recorded live at the Beach House in Panama City Beach on a pocket sized MP3 recorder- we captured the essence of the song which is totally dependent on the audience - Payday drums, Pierre bass - This ois what to do with socks that have no mate. Join the Crusade!
TRK 8 Lie To Me - a real Rocker of a tune - reminds me of Hendrix stuff and is fun to play live - strong "upbeat walkups" like in Jimi's Stone Free. This was all recorded live in the studio and i overdubbed some guitars and the vocal.
Killer Kris on bass, Payday on drums.
TRK 9 Cinco De Mayo - I wrote this one bettween sets while playing Cinco De Mayo @ Gracie Raes in Panama City, FL in 2010. Ladies, if you need a cool way to get rid of a guy then the line in this song is perfect for you -Payday on drums, BB on bass.
TRK 10 Mojo Matuba (Live) recorded @ Time Out Sports Saloon New Years Eve 2011 - with "all the Mays" in the audience - Jered (the Bassist) May sat in and nailed it! Jared never played with us before - Lucky to have captured it live.Payday on drums.
TRK 11 The Monkees had a theme song and this is mine! Three Chord Rocker with Payday on drums Killer on bass and backing vocs.
