good but as usual overpriced
Tourniquet's first two cds ('Bleeding; Psychosurgery) were the best -- old school 80s power metal that held a consistent melody. Their subsequent music stayed heavy but became disjointed, progressive (experimental in a broken-up sense) in its sound. The later "Crawl to China" is an example -- songs take off with a consistent good melody, but then change gears midstream. The 80s-esque soprano-alto vocalist for the early albums later changed to a growly raw sound that may grate the ears of 80s metalheads.
Elmbrook Church in Wisconsin, the home of this band, has consistently sold this music at full prices. Other music venues do the same. This band needs to get a grip, let a little air out of their financial heads, and lighten up on their prices.
