Pictures from Bridges

by Trace Meek

Trace Meek emerged from the late 1980s Atlanta underground music scene, having played with a few then notable but now unheard-of bands. His sound is hard to peg, but includes influences of southern indie rock, psychedelic, folk, and even strains of gospel

Album Notes
In 2019, Trace Meek (bass player of the Figments) emerged from a long hiatus from playing music, publishing a solo single entitled "Pictures from Bridges," which is a conversation across time between the present-day, happy and well-adjusted protagonist and his suicidally-depressed earlier self. The mature version reaches back over the decades to hopefully assure the younger version that things can and do get better. But there's a subtext that the darkness lurks in the background, and can return if not managed.
