- BALTIMORE'S CHILD magazine says: "Listening to Eldridge's songs is like taking a deep breath of fresh air filled with high quality musicianship, composition, and talent. There is none of the talking down to kids or the dinky sounds of electronic music that permeate so much of the music in the children's market."
- Phil from at A FAMILY RUNS THROUGH IT calls NEVER MIND THE RAIN "a collection of highly-polished full band recordings in styles ranging from Dixieland to Rockabilly to Zydeco. And we're all in love with Tracey's gorgeous voice. She reminds me of two of my favorite singers, K.D. Lang and Karen Carpenter. She tells great stories and teaches about music in a fun way. My kids and I highly recommend Tracey Eldridge! You can buy her CD online at CD Baby."
- John Wood at KIDZMUSIC>COM. says: "Eldridge's honey-coated vocals float atop clever original tunes, toe-tapping arrangements and highly edutaining story-songs. Never mind the rain but give your full attention to this gifted artist."
- Kathy O'Connell of WXPN Philadelphia's KIDS' CORNER and author of METROKIDS MAGAZINE'S SOUND OFF! says: "I love this cd. I especially love the variety of musical styles... a diverse and delightful musical buffet."

Tracey Eldridge is an early childhood music educator, songwriter, and veteran musician/entertainer from Maryland. After two decades of making music for kids Tracey has recorded 14 favorite “originals” for her debut CD entitled NEVER MIND THE RAIN. A 2007 Parent’s Choice Gold Award Winner, the CD features memorable songs and musical stories complete with imaginative sound effects and recorded with full ensembles. NEVER MIND THE RAIN teaches children in a most delightful way about the different styles of American “roots” music.
The ensembles include 25 of the Baltimore/DC area’s finest musicians playing rockin’ zydeco, Dixieland, folk, swing, boogie woogie, Hawaiian, Appalachian, rockabilly, reggae, and rock ’n’ roll. The grooves are infectious, and listeners should be forewarned that dancing often can’t be helped! Listeners of all ages learn to identify sounds of instruments that characterize each style.
Though Tracey’s song lyrics are whimsical, fun and sometimes even silly, the music is “seriously” parent-friendly! Producer Mookie Siegel (Phil Lesh & Friends, Ratdog, David Nelson Band) adds magic to each track with his own brand of zany humor. Arranger Brian Simms (Junkyard Saints, Disappear Fear) contributes inventive horn arrangements. Call-and-response vocals by The Incredible Worker Bees children’s chorus entice listeners of all ages to sing along. Moms and dads enjoy this music as much as the kids do.
A little bit about Tracey.....
Having studied guitar, voice, and a variety of stringed and percussion instruments over 25 years, Tracey performs a wide range of musical styles. Since 1981 she has played in every kind of format from the classic big band to solo. Formal studies in theatre arts and languages coupled with two decades of experience in teaching, movement, and clowning give Tracey’s musical performances great color and dimension.
Tracey first performed for children in 1988 while serving as entertainment director to a cruise line. In 1993 she developed her popular MUSIC 'n' MOTION program for performance in schools and children’s entertainment arenas. In that same year she created, at the urging of parents and nursery school directors, a preschool music curriculum (Celebrate Life with Music!) and launched her preschool teaching career. Over the past decade Tracey has touched the lives of thousands of children in the classroom, at elementary and middle school assemblies, and at libraries, concerts, festivals, and fairs.
