Album Notes
Tracy Stark's debut album Canvas of Dreams is a heartfelt journey through a musical soul.

Inspired by the craft and passion of many songwriters ranging from Janis Ian to Stevie Wonder, Tracy incorporates various styles on this CD, always with a soulful twist and a glimpse into a poet's heart.

A captivating artist with goosebump-raising skill.

Making a name for herself for the past decade as a keyboardist/ arranger/musical director/vocalist and the creative force behind many shows, bands, singers, and various acts from San Francisco to NY, and throughout Europe, it is now time for Tracy to step out and be recognized as a solo artist in her own right.

Canvas of Dreams was exquisitely and tastefully produced by Ferron.

An exquisitely beautiful CD!
Tracy Stark is an immensely talented composer, singer, musical director, and pianist. Her music brings chills to my spine. "Portrait" is bittersweet & compelling. "Fluffy World," with it's lush Jazz influences,is breathtaking!

Canvas of dreams /
the cd is a nice pop music cd.. the song movin on works up some energy with subtle hints of electronic modern sampling synthesisers.. maybe done with an emu/
MUSICman is very beautiful fluffy world and others are also good .,,, i need to listen more to those.
i have listened to the entire album several times,

movin on dozens..
and MUSIC Man i have listened to over 100 times

the vocals are strong thruout, hitting some excellent full sound and textures,,

the backgroud singer also good.
i wont say that the album could equal the supremes,,
as for wont align itself , with classics like
supremes, sinatra, or moody blues. it could never compare to chick coreas light as a feather
but the cd deserves to be heard above the clutter
of such overated cds put out by say, madona or aguilar ,
the vocals are not some look alike . emotional mayhem of the post rap moan n groan singer wanna bees. who all sound like carbon copys..

the blend of heavy keyboad sounds with glimses of lee micheals combined with modern electonic riffs , vibrant vocals and some meaningful , lyrics
make this Cd
a good investment of time ...

A must-have CD
This album is a gift to the listener of lovingly crafted, beautiful songs. It is also an insight into the tremendous spirit of Tracy Stark, who wrote all of the songs, sings lead vocals, executive produced the album, and even played piano on a few of the tunes. Classically trained, Ms. Stark’s skills are as solid as can be. But her forte (no pun intended) is clearly as a singer/songwriter. From the bluesy, dreamy feel of “Good Life,” to the more upbeat sound of “Movin’ On” and “You Were There,” to the ethereal notes of “Dreams,” Ms. Stark captures a mood, articulates a feeling, and touches the heart. These are wonderful songs, superbly arranged and lovingly presented to the listener. For anyone who appreciates good music, this CD is a must-have in your collection. Buy it!!!! You won’t be disappointed.

Great job, Tracy!
I got to know Tracy the pianist, but I'm now a fan of her singing and songwriting. This is a beautiful CD of indie music made with heart and style. Ferron's production adds a great shimmer to Tracy's soulful writing. My personal favorite is Fluffy World -- a funny name for a song, but a great vehicle for Tracy's voice and an honest song about a songwriter in love. If you love that heartfelt & passionate indie woman sound, you'll be crazy for Tracy Stark.

Tracy Stark Goes for the Heart
Tracy Stark goes for the heart in her moving, rousing, eclectic CD, "Canvas of Dreams." With her terrific voice that runs the gamut from sweet and gamine-like to bluesy and snarling, Stark knows just how to phrase the wry, knowing lyrics and get the most out of her unpredictable but satisfying melodies. At times echoing the singer-songwriter heyday of Janis Ian and others, Tracy Stark very much inhabits her own space and generously is sharing it with the rest of us.

"A thought provoking mind blewing CD" Beautiful Songs
I was hooked after the first song "Good Life". And a good life it must have been to be able to write and sing with such emotion these heartfelt songs. Each song was more touching and meaningful then the next. The song I was most moved by was "Come back to me". What a soulful voice Tracy Stark has. this CD is AMAZING.
