Album Notes
Trapped In Static (TIS) is an alternative rock/indie band based in New York City formed by front man Athan Hilaki (previously with GAD.). With Athan's vocals, often characterized as a mix of Chris Cornell, Dave Grohl, Eddie Vedder and Scott Stapp, David's heavy but always funky drum rhythms, they create their own sound with influences from Nirvana and U2 to Coldplay and Kings Of Leon, something that always leaves the unknown crowd asking... "How come we've never heard of you guys before?".
Some other quotes from radio and TV appearances:
-"Letterman has nothing on me", TV hostess June Middleton from 'Minding Your Business' on Manhattan Network Neighborhood shortly after TIS. performed "What Else Is There" live on TV.
-"Listening to this song, I reached a nirvana point, relaxed me, although a rock song, there was something mellow in it that felt like floating, trippy kind of way". Radio host Dj Stamatis Tsilimos, right after the live performance of 'Lost Souls'.
-"We usually talk a lot, since this being a radio talk show, but now your music is so good that we wanna listen to more and more songs". Radio host Dimitris Filippidis on TIS live performance on radio.
