Album Notes
I’m super excited to finally release my first ever solo album, entitled “STARING DOWN THE RHINO”.

The idea of releasing something independent away from my band isn’t entirely out of the norm for me, but I’ve never taken the plunge and done anything more than a single here or there and have always put off the idea of a full album for one reason or another.

Those of you who know, (or perhaps even follow) me will know that I’m passionate about writing songs and I’ve been fortunate enough to have had some of those songs placed with other artists as well as released a fair amount of original material through my band “Dead Days”.

This project though, is all me... No creative outside involvement from anyone. Just me trying my best to be honest as a writer and put the music that I hear inside my head, out in some kind of understandable audio form.

In total, there are 9 tracks. 8 which were completely arranged, composed, performed and produced by myself. I also engineered everything on the album except the drums, which was quite exciting - I guess I must’ve learnt something being in and out of recording studios for the better part of the last 20 years of my life. The ninth track is a cover version of a song called Sorry... Wrong Trajectory, which was originally recorded by one of my all time favourite bands, 'Flickerstick'. Hope you enjoy it...

I do have to give special mention to my amazing producer/engineer friends Jack Twiner (at Pyramid Studios) for engineering the drums and Dean Nelson (at Generation Studios) for doing the final mix and master on all of the material. Without you two, I can’t imagine this album would’ve correctly come together like it has...

Thanks for your support -
Travis Marc

P.S - for any Dead Days fans reading this. This album doesn’t mean that Dead Days aren’t together anymore. We’re actually working on some new stuff at the moment which we hope to release later this year. I just thought I’d clear that up, in case there was any confusion.
