ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Travis Matte and the Kingpins release their 12th full length record. This record consist of 15 original songs with styles ranging from Zydeco, Cajun, Swamp pop and everything in between to create a fun filled original style of Louisiana Party Music.
The band began their recording journey in 2004 with their first release and have played nearly every Festival, Club and party throughout South Louisiana and tons out of state as well. The band has broke several club and festival attendance records and radio stations often credit the band for most played song of the year.
This particular record blends everything from inception of the bands first record to 16 years later a style that only be identified as "Travis Matte and the Kingpins". The band started out as "Travis Matte and the ZYDECO Kingpins", they decided to drop the word Zydeco from the name as we didn't want to be labeled as anything but the band name and style. This allowed us to grow as a band and fulfill the vision of being a band set aside from others and doing a style only heard by the Kingpins.
There are so many influences the band has pulled from both local and nationally that its impossible to name all.
These groups have paved the way for this band and many others to feed from and incorporate these styles under one roof so to speak.
The band describes themselves as a fun filled energetic band that loves to engage with their audience. Their style is self described as "Louisiana Party Band" and thrive on originality.
