ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Through his 10 year career, Tres Crow left a surprising breadth of music behind. From the lo-fi garage of his earliest 4-track recordings to the loud, angular rock of Oblivion, Tres' music never failed to surprise, blending a keen ear for melody with a never ending panoply of musical influences. This collection of over 40 songs is perfect for the long time fan, or the newcomer; It covers everything. From his earliest basement recordings to the heavy rock of Oblivion, the Sigur Ros-inspired dirges of the Maine EP, the Strokes and Wilco-influenced confections of Greenland, all the way to the quiet, Iron and Wine-influenced denouement of Noble Three, this collection plays like a veritable tour of the sonic developments of the first decade of the 21st century.

Consisting of 42 songs, this double album is delivered in chronological order and split into 4 chapters, titled after the places the songs were recorded: 1.) Grand Haven, 2.) Ann Arbor, 3.) The Maine EP, and 4.) Nashville. It shows the growth over his career and the varying influences that took over and released their hold as he moved through the years. Though lengthy and necessarily diverse, the album has so many bright spots it's hard to stop listening, if just to one more song.

Though Tres Crow's music never acquired the commercial success it probably deserved, this collection is a welcome reminder of his talent, and the perfect capstone to a winding and always entertaining career.
