ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Every lyrical note or spoken word on "Introducing The PoeTrish", comes straight from the heart and the soul. Trisha Mann-Grant delivers a range of emotions on each Single for this album. Trisha displays a creative balance of storytelling, love and romance, inspiration and raw pain. Trisha chose not to focus on one subject matter or topic with her debut album so she could portray the true essence of Life's journey. It is not just poetry, it is music. It is not just a message, it is a movement. Her first single release, "Don't Beat the Love out of Me" is graphic and based on true events dedicated to a friend of hers who experienced this. Trisha chose this spoken word song first because there are so many men and women that cannot only relate to this story but are stuck in it every day. Others have been emotionally affected by hearing it for the first time and she hopes this theatrical piece will make a difference in the mindset of those who hear it. Trisha is grateful and honored to feature the creative genius and talented contributions of singer/actor Tony Grant Who stars in many Tyler Perry plays and DVDs and is also a member of the R&B group AzYet. Also, Singer/Actor/Musical Producer, Vincent Corey Walker who Played an intricate part in the production of "Introducing The PoeTrish". Special thanks also goes out to Rob Diggy Morris, Musical Composer at large who scores feature films, for his musical contributions to this album. Trisha says, "Thank you to all who have taking the time to visit my website and support me by purchasing one of my singles or my entire album. I have poetry that reflects the many roller coaster rides of life I have had the pleasure and pain of experiencing throughout the years. I pray you enjoy this Journey with me and that you share it with others." www.youtube.com/Trishamanntv and www.manntalk.com and www.trishamannmotivates.com

"Love Ain't Suppose To Hurt"
So many of us are chasing this fantasy of the perfect relationship and because of denial and fear of not having, we settle for less than what we deserve or what God has intended for us to have. In this emotional epic poem Trisha brings the truth to the forefront of what happens to men and women when they leave out the leadership of God and shadow love with control. Abuse in any form whether it be man or woman is a sickness and I applaud my amazing gift from God for having enough courage to speak on behalf of all who have been abused or who are currently in an abusive situation. Keep speaking the message Trisha the world needs to hear your voice. Yours truly your husband Tony Grant.

Don't Beat the love out of me
Hey Trisha Grant, I wouldn't expect anything less than a great job out of you and this was excellent. I pray it will help in healing to many wounded souls. There are women (and men) who have gone through this kind of torment and pain you talk about. They are not alone. In your performance you capture the moment so many have experienced in real life. Hearts are crying out to be loved and not beaten. Even to the abuser I pray that they will hear this and be healed.

Great Job
Trisha captures a special essence in her poetic delivery, she keeps the listeners attention and drives a home run
with this piece. I feel that this kind of message needs to be heard by women's groups all over the country so many times women go through bad times and hide and wont share whats going on inside. Trisha you are that voice of these women so keep on sista your voice is heard. Now lets get these sales going Great job...

Amazing Work...Serious Message
When Trisha brought this piece to me, I knew immediately what it needed musically. I've seen this scene so many times growing up. With too many different relationships. So getting into character was easy for me. But at the same time it was hard for me to listen to afterwards. I hope this piece inspires someone to leave an abusive situation verbal or physical. I pray that if you are an abuser you are disgusted with my performance and you realize that you see yourself in my presentation. Our goal in this message is to reach at least one and teach one. God bless you all.

Literally in Tears
This may not have happened to me physically but emotionally I can relate. Just hearing the tension, anger, hostility in the air hit me right in the gut. It made me go to a place where I thought I was delivered from. God has given you a gift and Ladybug, I THANK GOD you are bringing forth what most would not do. I'm so speechless right now. Love isn't suppose to hurt!

Poignant Message
I thought about my young daughter as I listened to this. Every young woman needs to hear this message. We see and interact with people every day and never know what goes on behind closed doors, or what has to be tolerated before their head rests at night. Excellent work Trisha.

WOW!
This is a deep message to one's heart who thinks their relationship will improve with time, no matter what, if they can just endure enough to wait it out. The question is, do you love yourself and how much. The other side is with certainty, what you give out in this world will return to you, greater.

The Power Of Seeing your Truth
As a man in media, entertainment, fashion, and marketing I often see a Lot of Beautiful WOMEN, on the outside that is. But what pains me the most is that a lot of women are hurt and broken on the inside. What takes this pain to the next dimension is that the pain and brokenness mostly if not 100% of the time comes from the hand and the mouth of a BROKEN MAN. This Lyrical and Musical composition exposes the truth of what goes on BEHIND the CLOSED doors. A Woman is the image of the CREATOR who has been given the POWER to GIVE LIFE, but many MEN seek to DESTROY her value and worth, thus planting a seed that in absolution, begins to destroy a culture and society. WOMAN please recognize that you are WORTH the PURITY and EMPOWERMENT of LOVE. To whatever measure "LOVE IS BEING BEAT" out of you.... STAND for the TRUTH in Corinthians 13. SHARE this MUSICAL COMPOSITION "Don't Beat the Love out Of Me" to MEN and WOMEN ALIKE and Stop this vicious cycle of BROKENESS so that we as a PEOPLE can come together in the FULL POWER OF LOVE and HEAL a NATION!
