The Christ of Christmas

by Troy Goss

The Christ of Christmas- The idea for this song came during Christmas 2005. Certain stores instructed employees to say "Season's Greetings" instead of "Merry Christmas" at Christmastime. This song purposefully reminds us what Christmas is all about.

Album Notes
CXI (Christ eXalted Inside) - is an Electronica/Jazz/R&B group created by Troy Goss who is the Composer / Arranger / Sound Engineer / Lyricist / Musician / Performer and Producer of all the songs on his albums and collaborates whenever possible with other artists. In most cases he works independently, as in this single about having a meaningful Christmas. Moved by a godly desire to share the Good News in fresh and inspiring ways, the biblical concepts in each song are clear and that is his main driving force. "I want no question of whom I'm referring to - it's Jesus that changed me." His sound is very influenced, but not usually used in Contemporary Christian Music. "I'm all over the place with genres - if it sounds good to me I'll find a way to use it to worship God." Calling himself a "song presenter" he dreams of working with other artists more and performing with a lead singer. "People at church call me a Psalmist, but I don't think I'm the best voice by a long shot. Having others sing my music became the passion, but until then, you just got me." Not content to just shoulder the responsibility of what’s on the inside, he also designs his own CD covers. “When you do it the indie-artist way, there’s a lot you have to do yourself, because that’s all you’ve got and God’s grace is sufficient to make miracles happen - and they do.” - IZRI MEDIA interviews 2012
