ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
These five musicians began playing together as The Truth in February of 1998, but the roots of their collaboration reach back much further. From 1990 to 1994 they formed the nucleus of the popular Pittsburgh based band rock band Stone Romeo. After disbanding in April 1994, the players went on to a variety of different projects, occasionally playing together in different combinations, but never as a complete unit. When guitarist Geo Bennett needed his old band mates' special skills for some songs he was working on in the fall of 1997, it began what would be the catalyst for the formation of The Truth.

What remains from the old band is a great camaraderie/chemistry, sense of humor, and complete dedication to showing its audience a great time. What separates The Truth from its predecessor though, is time, four years to be precise; four years to become better players, songwriters, performers, and friends. The end result of this time is strong new songs (and a few reworked ones) that are exciting and fresh without being trendy. There are no hyphens, slashes, or asterisks necessary to describe The Truth. Be assured, this is a rock and roll band. The skill of the individual players allows The Truth to subtly add different textures, feels, and colors to their songs without sacrificing the core of their sound; melodic, honest rock and roll music. This band is about good songs played by good players as part of a high-energy, irreverent live show.

That's The Truth, the whole truth, and nothing but The Truth. Be sure to check out the new CD "Dying To Live", available via our website and most major online and retail stores.
