Grey Islands

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This first album from synthesizer designer, classically-trained musician, and electronic music lover, Tucker McClure, brings together custom synthesis techniques, a frequently through-composed style, and influences scattered across the electronic music scene. The hefty, nearly fifteen minute opening track, "Origin", provides the seed from which the album grows, with a dancelike pace and a mood at times serious and at times relaxed. The album proceeds to explore various forms, from the evolving, slow score in "February Morning" to the explosive and fiercely-determined dance anthem, "Saltwater", and the simple, reflective "Outward". The energetic and dynamic "Waves" reveals layers of electronic soundscape that ultimately bring the project to its close.
