Congas, timbales, sax/flute/piccolo, trumpet/flugelhorn, bass and keyboard drive this unique sound of musically rewarding songs that will make you want to dance. Strong melodies, interesting/exciting solo improvisations, crisp arrangements driven by stellar percussionists and sensitive accompaniment on piano and bass. This is a real, working band that plays many festivals, concerts in the park, libraries and jazz clubs formed in 2004. Chip Boaz from Latin Jazz Corner says"...each band member brings a high level of comfort and experience with Afro-Cuban music..a colorful and exciting repertoire." Our four recordings have been featured on all the top NPR jazz radio programs including "Jazz After Hours" and other syndicated shows. Their performances include all the top jazz festival throughout Michigan as well a library concerts in the San Mateo, CA area.
