Album Notes
When The Jitterbug Bites sets Swing, Boogie-Woogie and Jump styles squarely on an infectious groove that puts a tap in your toe and a smile on your face. The songs are written by Joe Turley featuring Nashville's finest players:Virtuoso Horn Section, Jazz/Rock & Slide Guitarists, Chicago style Harmonica, Boogie/Swing Piano, Soulful B-3, Amazing background Chicks all combine to make this music an upbeat, "get op & shout" experience.Veteran Nashville stage and studio musician, Joe Turley's expressive voice pays homage to guys like Louis Armstrong, Cab Calloway, Louis Jordan & Louis Prima . The sound is retro, yet fresh and compelling.

I loved it!!
What a great album! Joe wrote all the songs and put together one heck of a great band! I especially liked the tracks Ging Ginga Ding, Boogietime, Sittin' On Santa's Knee, 35 Cents, and my most favorite is the instrumental High Steppin'! This is an album for all ages and all fans of Jazz, Dixeland, and Boogie Woogie music!! I wish I had been around to observe the rehearsals and studio recording periods for this album. With a group of good musicians like this, I'll bet the impromptu jam sessions must have been something to hear! This album is a real treat! See more of my review on Joe's page at the link above.
