Album Notes
Tycho Brahe came into existence in 1993, based in the leafy Brisbane (Australia) suburb of Graceville, launching a two-piece attack on the Brisbane music scene with synths, samplers, sequencers, bass guitar and vocals. Drawing on influences ranging from New Order and The Human League, through Trevor Horn and Martin Rushent, to Captain Picard and Cadet Stimpy, the band remains active with original founding members Ken Evans and Georgina Emery, and at times expands to a three or four piece line-up with various additional personnel on drums and/or keyboards. Super Hot Robot continues Tycho Brahe's side-exploration of vocoder-driven mid '80s Hi-NRG novelty cowbell dance music, the virtual B-side to 2012's "Sex Rocket" single.
