Late grate jazz saxophonist and educator Sonny White AKA Ahmad Alaadeen , was one who gave back
and i am one of the recipients , he saw something in me that was promising ; i had a lot of chops at the time but did't know what i was doing ,
Mr. Alaadeen would reminisce the first time he met me i was wearing yellow pointed toe shoes , i guess i was ahead of my time Mr. Alaadeen , they're playing all the
colors in the rainbow now , Mr. Alaadeen gave me my first official jazz gig , he was a good friend and mentor , God placed some awesome people in my life and
he was one of them; Hello Alaadeen

That hippie chick showed up to all the gigs around town , a true flower child love, peace, and happiness. She would be so immersed into the music that we would play harder just to take her to that place she wanted to be which was way out there , she had a cool vibe , cool and artistic , we tend to play harder for people that are not uptight but into the music , My granddaughter had this doll she named Nutty Peach she spoke about her so often as if it was an actual person; i had to meet this doll . one day i stop by to visit my granddaughter i ask to meet Nutty Peach , she hesitated , as if she was embarrassed to show me , she went to get Nutty Peach and handed her to me , That doll looked as if it were dancing one shoe off and dressed like a flower child , Flash back!! ; it was that hippie chick dancing wild and singing loud; Nutty Peach.

Drive Thru;

Sundays after church there was a cool hang out at Swope Park it had a doughnut shaped lake with an island in the middle, we would clean our cars up and drive out and either park or "Drive Thru; cars would line up and drive in one big circle around the lake, if you recognize someone you would pull over or just "Drive Thru , there would be custom cars and bikes with hydraulics and True Dig Sick sound systems , and of course those who just wanted to be seen if you know what i mean, i'm sure there are other states in the" US of A that have similar events the" DriveThru.
