Album Notes
Greetings and thanks for stopping by! As you can see, my name is T. Z. Wright-I’m a musician from Oklahoma-northwest Oklahoma to be more precise. I play Rock and Roll, Country Rock, Western Swing, Bluegrass, Acoustic Folk, Gospel, and even a little Cajun music. I guess you might say I’ve traveled a few side roads of the music highway and picked up influences on all of them. While living in Red River, New Mexico in 1974, I led the first house band of “The Motherlode” western dance hall. Highlights of the Red River years included recording an album of original music in 1977, opening for Vassar Clements in Taos, N.M.; and an appearance at the Red River Music Festival which featured Jethro Burns, and New Grass Revival among others. I returned to Oklahoma in 1978 and have continued to maintain and develop my musical interests with activities such as songwriting; being an organizer of The Northwest Oklahoma Bluegrass Association; acting and singing the lead role in the Onstage Woodward Theater production of “Foxfire”; entertaining at banquets; and performing at private parties, dances, clubs, etc. with various musical groups all over Oklahoma. I also provide music for church services at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Woodward, Oklahoma once each month. Since 2002, I have performed each July at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival in Okemah Oklahoma with the Festival “House” band led by guitar wizard Terry “Buffalo” Ware, which has accompanied singer-songwriters Bob Childers, Rob McNurlin, Susan Gibson, Sarah Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion, and Ronny Elliot among others. Thanks again for stopping by and please check out my all original CD “Oklahoma and You”, and my website tzwright.com. If you’re interested in having me play somewhere, my contact information can be found on the schedule and booking page and you can scroll on down the page for a partial list of covers and originals I currently perform. Hope to see you sometime!

Love it!
T.Z. Wright is a multi-faceted musician. He transitions easily from keyboards, mandolin, guitar and accordion. His musicianship is supreme, which is evident on this recording. Excellent work and a great friend too!
