ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
NIGHT MARKET is a live concert DVD Video by ULTRA WORLD X-TET. Recorded at Old First Church in San Francisco, CA. The video is imaginatively shot, and the audio is superb. The DVD showcases the wide range of the ensemble's material. Great for anyone who loves World Music, Jazz, Experimental Music, Chamber Music, or anyone interested in new musical forms created with respect for, and mastery of traditional forms.

ULTRA WORLD X-TET combines jazz, world, experimental and contemporary concert styles in a pioneering fusion of East and West. The band instrumentation includes saxophone, bamboo flute, guzheng (23 string Chinese zither), yangqin (Chinese hammered dulcimer) bass, drumset and percussion. The ensemble's first album, "Moon and Legend" is also available at CD Baby and iTunes as well as many other outlets.
