ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The debut album from the sunshine indie pop duo Underbirds brings together the unique voices and musical artistry of Morgan Taylor and Todd McHatton. Underbirds was recorded on opposite sides of the country with Taylor on the east coast in Woodstock, NY and McHatton on the west coast in Ojai, CA. They met just over a year ago and within a week of their first hello online, started making music together. They had a deep connection from the start; both accomplished visual artists with the same musical influences, a long running obsession for Kiss, comics, and cartoons, and a passion for authentic, harmonically rich, joyful pop.
Morgan Taylor is best known for his award winning family dvd series, Gustafer Yellowgold and Todd McHatton for his hit indie pop kids song, "I Think I'm a Bunny". What Taylor and McHatton have done with Underbirds is create their first warm, quirky, indie pop album in what will be a long term band effort. This is the sound of sheer, sweet joy from old friends who just met.
