Album Notes
This album came together at the request of brother Big Endz, who wanted Manawarr to make an album representing the hardcore Boom Bap genre of rap. During the same time, Manawarr and Raw J were planning on making a soundtrack for Allmighty Chillski's B-Boy documentary. Unexpectedly, Big Endz passed away and the devastating loss to all became a new vision. Instead of a compilation album, the Underground Cypher would remerge in full force like a resurrection to pay tribute to their brother Big Endz. Dj De La regrouped with the crew and a new path began to complete "The Lazarus". This album represents the groups legacy, which began in Miami, Florida in the year 1992. Original members include, Grand D (The Godfather), Dj Madstyles (Ill-One), Raw J, Dj De La, and Manawarr. Towards the early 2000's the group took a hiatus and each member went on to pursue other projects including, Raw J with 2NJ Film Productions, Manawarr with the Blue Team, and Dj De La with Dadeabass Recordings. Allmighty Chillski, of Miami's "Heavy Artillery" and "Deadly Venoms" was always a part of the U.C. Crew. In the 90's, the U.C. Crew also collaborated on projects with Chillski, and other MC's such as, Reset of "Double Barrel". The long history of being partners in rhyme with Chillski became a perfect fit when this new project came about. Overall, this album is dedicated to every member of the U.C. Crew, Deadly Venoms, and Heavy Artillery, past and present, to those who were beside us on day one, to those who are with us presently, and to the loved ones we lost along the way.
