Album Notes
The Unknown Project is a five-piece rocktronica group that blends emotional words and melodies, intense guitar riffs, electronic spices and infectious grooves to deliver musical and lyrical roller coaster rides. The sound of the band fluctuates from song to song, or even within a song, ranging from dark and grim to bright and optimistic, often mimicking this strange but beautiful uncertainty called life.

Sebu Simonian (vocals/programming) and Ryan Welker (guitars) met in the fall of 2001 at Cal State Northridge music school where the two discovered they shared similar tastes in music and songwriting. That summer, Simonian decided to form a new band, and Welker was the first person he called. They recorded and released a four-song demo and continued to work on new material. With the addition of Ryan Judd on bass, Aram Kirakosian on keyboards, and Ronnie Hanks on drums, the band became complete.

The group spent most of the summer of 2002, writing, recording, and performing locally in front of an ever-growing loyal and vocal fan base. The Unknown Project EP - a five-song bouquet - was released on October 16, and now, the members are excited to shop for a major label deal and organize a regional tour.
